Easter of 2016

Spring Break & Easter Weekend

This last weekend (Easter weekend) my family drove down from West Jordan, kidnapped me, and we spent the weekend climbing hills, eating sweets, and enjoying the warm weather of St. George. My mom and two younger siblings had Friday off for Spring Break, so my family was able to get an early(ish) start and we were able to be together by early afternoon.

We rented a beautiful condo in Hurricane, which is 15 minutes out of St. George, and it went beyond our expectations. There were games, dishes, pots/pans, shampoo and conditioner, wifi, Ziplock baggies, a washer and dryer. They had everything! Our condo was surrounded by cacti, red rock cliffs, and beautiful sunsets.

Here's what we did on...
Friday.
Lunch in Cedar City -- All American Diner
Unloaded at condo.
Explored Dixie Rock and surrounding cliffs.
Dinner in St. George -- Gun Barrel

Saturday.
Hiked in St. George -- Gun Lock Falls.
Hiked in Snow Canyon -- Petrified Dunes
Window Shopping -- Outlet Malls
Ice cream -- Iceberg
Dinner at Condo.
Game of Grouch -- Dad won
Relaxed -- Treehouse Masters.

Sunday
Easter Bunny -- Candy and Baskets
Relaxed -- Dog Show, Nature Discovery,
Photography session -- Outdoors
Packed for Home.
Dropped me off in Cedar City.

I loved the opportunity that I had to spend the weekend with my family in some of God's great creations. I'm eternally grateful to know that my crazy family will be together forever. There's nothing better than spending time with those you love.

Spontaneous St. George Trip

March 18 - 19th, 2016

Spontaneous trip to St. George, Utah to spend the night and hang out with one of my high school best friends, Victoria in between her working shifts.

The trip started by visiting Victoria at IHOP while she was working the end of her shift, I arrived a little about 10pm. I decided to call in a solo dinner date as I spent that time eating Banana and Nutella crepes and reading Harry Potter.

Victoria and I then spent two hours catching each up on the drama, dirt, and crazy stories since we last saw each other. We finally passed out around 2am.

Saturday was spent sleeping in until almost noon, chatting with Victoria's family over facetime, watching Zootopia (loved it!), hiking Dixie Rock, and shopping at the mall before Victoria had to go back to work.

It was great to hangout with an old friend and it was like no time had passed. It was a great way to spend my weekend and I'm so grateful for her friendship.

Love you Tori!

Below are some picture taken during this very spontaneous trip.

I adore...

Nature.

Flowers. Sunsets. Beaches. Forests. Red Rocks, Snow.

Nature is beautiful. It is ever changing, astonishing, and a testament of Heavenly's Father creation and His great power.

It is a humbling feeling, when standing amidst the Lord's creations and knowing that He created them for me. It increases their beauty and uniqueness every time I see them.

This post is dedicated to the beautiful nature around me:
