Since I recently turned twenty-one, I decided to share 21 things that you may or may not know about me.

1.  I equally enjoy being on the beach and being amidst the woods. 
2.  I've kept almost every kind note I have received. 
3.  I've never broken or fractured a bone. 
4.  I enjoy being physically active. 
5.  I've been rear-ended by a school bus. 
6.  I've become a better student with the more education I receive. 
7.  My siblings and I are exactly 3 1/2 years part. 
8.  I'm a bargain shopper; therefore, I have a hard time making big purchases. 
9.  I miss participating in choir. 
10.  I enjoy the opportunities to unplug from technology. 
11.  I love hearing mission stories. 
12.  I can not wear sweats or pajamas to school. 
13.  I enjoy watching summer rain/lightening storms. 
14.  I have not gain the freshman fifteen. 
15.  I'm a sucker for flowers, piano music, animals, and having my hair played with. 
16.  One of my goals in life is to be happy and surrounded by loved ones. 
17.  I believe that funny pictures are just an important as serious ones. 
18.  I can't handle horror movies. 
19.  I've never played a video game -- not counting Just Dance. 
20.  I love wearing heels. 
21.  I enjoy finding new dessert recipes to try. 

Finals Celebration

April 15 - 17th, 2016

A weekend get-away with old high school friends dedicated to relaxing, chatting, and escaping the stress of finals in Cedar City and St. George. It was a great to relieve some stress, spend time with friends, and ring in my 21st birthday.

Here are few pictures and highlights:

The gang hiking around Dixie Rock in St. George, Utah.  While Tori and I aimed to discover safe ways to hike the various rock formations, the boys were seeking the thrill.  

Justin made the mistake of handing me his phone, so naturally we took roughly 50 photos documenting our dorkiness and love for each other. He was a good sport and luckily only posted one of the many pictures.

What are four twenty-somethings suppose to do to celebrate the weekend? Root beer, water, and juice shots, of course. We were channeling in our inner rebels with our Mormon shots. 

Throwing it back old-school, the gang decided to take a photo-booth picture to demonstrate our closeness and dorkiness. It also shows that we don't have a problem with close proximity. 

We decided to test our endurance and wind as we hiked around Snow Canyon State Park. We attempted to explore the Butterfly trail, battled with wind, and beat the boys to the top of the mountain. 

The weekend was full of laughter, one-liners, and creating new memories. The opportunity to get together and enjoy beautiful nature was incredible. Thank you Hunter, Justin, Michael, and Tori for building more memories to last a lifetime.

21 Years Old

This past Tuesday, April 19th, I celebrated my 21st birthday. 

Although, my day was busy focusing on classes and homework, it was a great day. The day was spent in college classes, library, and being bombarded by loving birthday wishes. It was my first birthday that I was not able to spend with my family and as weird as it was, their love was still present. 

I'm immensely grateful to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. There was an overwhelming feeling of love throughout the day and provided a great reminder of how much I am cared for and thought about. Thank you again to all who wished me a great day. 

Despite the distance, my family sent me a birthday package to remind me that I'm in their thoughts and to wish me a happy birthday. However, the package was delayed and I received it a couple days after my birthday which helped turn my birthday into a birthweek. 

I look forward to new adventures that await me.

Congratulations to Shane and Austin and your sealing to each other for all time and eternity. You two are one of the cutest and funnest couple to be around. Your love, respect, and care for each other is evident in everything you do and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be part of their celebrations.

Shanae and I have been friends and family before we had a choice. We spent many evenings coloring in coloring books, playing with My Scene dolls, dancing in our living rooms, and enjoy our family get togethers. I couldn't have asked for a better adoptive sister and I'm so proud of what Shanae has accomplished. I love you Shanae and so happy for you.
